#didit several years ago: Switched to #nextcloud for file/calendar/contacts sync and other services (RSS, Podcasts, ...). Thinking about switching to #opencloud (no db sounds promising), recently heard about #peergos ... I use #syncthing for more "ephemeral" files (like Download folders). Very happy with all the oss possibilities, never needed dropbox, microslop, google or apple sync services...

@frankie it is for #peergos. I'm curious what other free options there might be.

Sudah setahun pakai pCloud. Cenderung murah memang, tapi sayangnya langganan enkripsinya terpisah.

Sekarang sedang coba ngulik Peergos. Kalau akhirnya pindah ke sana, berarti debut ngerasain teknologi IPFS.

Migration from #Proton to Mailbox.org successful.

Support is very efficient and helpful.
They now host my mailboxes and calendars.

Regarding Proton Drive, I finally settled on using a private #Nextcloud instance. I am not a big fan of Nextcloud, with its large attack surface and its W&X docker volumes, but alternatives were not that great either.
#Seafile E2EE that doesnot encrypt metadata was a let down. #Peergos attack surface is too large for me, with too many moving parts.

Regarding ProtonPass, I never used it. I use Bitwarden on a Vaultwarden instance.

ProtonVPN has not been replaced. I did not use it all that much, and I'll consider options later if the need arises.

Maybe #Peergos? I haven't tried it. https://peergos.org/
Peergos

Just learned about this. PKI #encryption on top of #ipfs for a fully secure, private, distributed, #censorship -resistant filesystem you can navigate with a web browser. Intriguing...

@ianopolous I like it!

Am I correct in understanding though, that if I self-hosted #peergos , I could potentially become a competitor to peergos.net and come up with an entirely different pricing policy for my own customers, etc. etc.?

Or does the protocol somehow prevent that?

@katzenberger

@katzenberger thanks! I'll check it out!

My main problem with this is that my #nextcloud is not accessible on the internet (only my home network).

I think I'll still prefer #peergos as more #privacy focused. ;)
