One of the most impressive places I have ever visited, #Hiroshima in #Japan, where humanity once thought it necessary to drop the first atomic bomb. Images of The #AtomicDome and the #PeaceMemorialMuseum are etched in my mind.

With the recent film #Oppenheimer it became a fresh memory again. It may seem long ago, but 78 years ago today, the world's first atomic bomb was dropped over Hiroshima Japan. I visited it in 1988 and I can still see the images of the devastation it caused in the city, the destruction of buildings and of people who were around at the time of the explosion. Has it brought world peace? And would we ever want to use this again?
