Auto correct used "Dorothy" instead of "Doritos" and now I'm kind of invested in the story of "Cool Ranch Dorothy" what makes her cool? What ranch? Is this the Dorothy from the "Wizard of Oz" stories or was she named after her?

Not replying to any specific article or post and comments, but writing this mainly for myself. All objections to it have been covered in those articles and comments. I just don't happen to fully agree with them.

I *love* "The Hero's Journey" by Joseph Campbell and so many stories and movies made from that basic outline. It's a malleable one at that and can be "imprinted" onto a story after the fact.

But I also recognize that it's only **one** outline out of many paths to take.
