I always appreciate an effort to repay but what I really want for repayment is their effort in helping others the next time they have a chance to help.

I dont need to be paid back, I want more folks helping. It selfish, know; I may need help later on and I want more folks helping to increase my chance of getting help if/when I need it.

I think of it as starting a network of helpers instead of just a single completed transaction.

@Over50butnotold Das ist wirklich bewundernswert, was du da leistest. Ich hab übrigens heute noch einen Post reinbekommen mit Links, die zeigen, dass es diese Ideen auch anderswo schon gibt, und dass sie sogar in radikalisierter Form bereits gelebt werden. So gibt es Restaurants, in denen man überhaupt nicht mehr für das bezahlt, was man selber verzehrt. Man bestellt einfach was man möchte, und bezahlt irgendwas für spätere Gäste:
