The movie is about 2 American jazz musicians in Paris in the 50's & their unrequited love affairs with 2 American female tourists.

The movie has a #FilmNoir feel & was made in the same year as #TheHustler (1961) when Newman was in his prime.

One to watch if you haven't seen it before.

I wish they’d given Paul Newman and Sidney Poitier the chance to learn and play their instruments but that would’ve probably meant losing Louis Armstrong b/c there’s no way he wouldn’t have absolutely blown them out of the water even more than he already does

I almost picked “A Warm December” but I felt that the vibes of “Paris Blues” were more fitting for now despite the studio chickening out&nixing the interracial relationship from the book. I’m sure we’ll get to it at some point, though, because I love it.
