My first take on #PabloHoney: "Creep" remains a standout track for me, but I like the vocals and guitar on "Prove Yourself" for similar reasons. And I hear pleasant Smiths-y influences in "I Can't." #Radiohead #music

#GreatAlbums1990s - #Radiohead – #PabloHoney (1993). The fact that Thom Yorke later came to resent “Creep” shouldn’t detract from Pablo Honey as a good album of early 90s guitar-driven grind from a band that would later make great ones. “You,” “Stop Whispering,” and “Blow Out” all generate the kind of angst-filled excitement more familiar in American bands of the period – paving the way for Radiohead's later cross-Atlantic success.
