So #privacy people...I currently use pCloud with EU servers for my cloud storage/backup. The price is right, I don't have to worry with it too much (though their WebDAV support is terrible)

I pay for space and the 1year modification retention.

Is there something else I should be looking at for this? Is their something they do/don't do? How do they rate on the privacy scale?

Apparently, #pCloud finally sent an email on Wed 25 Feb, detailing the results of their investigation into the cross-account data leak #security problem that caused me to delete my account.

Unfortunately, there seems to be no mention of this incident on their website, whatsoever. Given that they are the only service out there that actually has a native #Linux client other than Dropbox, I may be forced to use their services, anyway.

Fighting against my own mind and pain, I've managed to type up a draft fiction episode, but on my phone.

It's made trickier with using #Obsidian on my phone, and using Folder Sync to upload it to #pCloud so Obsidian on my desktop syncs the changes.

It's a farce, largely caused by Google restricting app access to certain folders on my #Android phone. That and avoiding the need to pay Obsidian for a sync service.

Nie mam oczywiście na myśli nic z USA - ja kupiłem kiedyś pCloud i nie wiem... 1TB dożywotnio (do mojej albo pClouda śmierci).
Zajmuję nieco ponad 100GB i ok - tylko że jak coś próbuję skasować to pod Mac dysk zdycha i muszę wyjść i wejść z appki. Mega słabo to działa.
Przez WWW spoko - ale to nie o to chodzi.
Nie szyfruję nic a na Reddit czytałem , że są ludzie którym na ich dyskach pojawiły sie obce pliki :D

Myślę, czy nie dorzucić 100GB w Filen - powinienem się zmieścić, a to jakieś 11 euro na rok chyba. No i tu jest już szyfrowanie w cenie.

Ich bin noch hin und her gerissen, ob #nextcloud (managed) oder doch sowas wie #proton #ksuite #pcloud etc. Nextcloud scheint mir als Einsteiger erstmal durcheinander...

Was ich gern wissen würde und wo ich öfter drüber stolpere: Wie handhabt ihr das mit euren Bildern und der Synchronisation in die Cloud? Lasst ihr es einfach direkt immer synchronisieren, wie es Google gemacht hat, oder macht ihr eher Backups? Warum? Weil ich gern die Bilder in der Cloud haben würde, sowie auf dem Handy, falls mal kein Internet im Busch oder so. Wenn ich jetzt Bilder löschen möchte, passiert das meist nicht parallel in der Cloud, das müsste dann doppelt laufen. Die meisten Anbieter machen das wohl bewusst so!?

Wie löst ihr das bzw. handhabt ihr die Bilder?
