Okay I was overengineering something while doing my job. I do that a lot if I unleash myself. These solutions I create haven't got use in low scale stuff therefore they are called "overengineering" or "overkill". The latter is a more informal way of saying this.

So what was I doing this time? I was supposed to check if a character is one of .,:;

@travisromany yeah, they tend to #overengineer stuff into #perfection and that "pleases my inner German" (pun proudly stolen from Ian McCollum)...

Also yeah a #RiceCooker - even a "stupid" one that doesn't greet you based off the time you turn it on amd wishes you a nice meal once rice is done is worth the money.

I got tired of my espresso machine running out of water unexpectedly. There were two clear options: remember to fill it regularly OR #OverEngineer the problem away! With an #ESP32 and a sonar distance sensor, I now have the water level displayed in #HomeAssistant, and an automatic alert on my phone when it drops before 10%.

Rright, if you make every path dependent on the path the script is in - it would be helpful if you ALSO do this for the #translations. Or #gettext may be unhappy.

Ohmy. Problems one does not have if one does not #overengineer things. But where would be the fun in that? 😀
