listening on #omik #peanut #digital conference room with #openspot3 and #yaesu #ft5
I haven’t done anything with D-Star yet, although I hypothetically *could* access the mode using my #SharkRF #OpenSPOT3 and #AnyTone878. (I’ve only used #Brandmeister and #TGIFdmr so far). - This looks like a good resource to get an idea of what #HamRadioNets are available on #DStar when the time comes. #AmateurRadioNets #hamr ~ http://www.dstarinfo.com/nets.aspx

The SharkRF Openspot3 can actually play audio through the browser for digital ham radio modes

A very short clip just showing the Icom IC-7100 D-STAR radio connecting and listening to the Brandmeister DMR radio network through the SharkRF Openspot3. This just demonstrates the cross mode functionality with text read out.
Many have shown off this cross mode functionality, so this is really nothing new, but look at the second half of the clip where you will hear it playing through the desktop computer browser's audio. This is not a feature I've seen anyone mention before. It essentially means you could actually listen to the various mode ham radio networks without even having any radio, just the Openspot3 connected.

I like how one can just turn on a #hamradio and hear real-time conversations from people in distant foreign countries. I fired up my D-74 on #OpenSpot3 and was greeted by BI8DNL from Chengdu China, then from Angelo I0RNK from Rome.
Listening to a worldwide net on #DMR Talkgroup 91 over the #OpenSPOT3 and #IC705. Fascinating hearing all these hams from so many countries checking in. #hamradio
