I wrote a Wikipedia article about The GB1900 project, which crowdsourced an #OpenLicence gazetteer from the place names in out-of-copyright Ordnance Survey maps.

The IDs for each place are now being added to Wikidata

As someone has pointed out on Wikimedia Commons, this recent UK government picture has conflicting licence info:

1) On Flickr as CC BY-NC-ND 2.0 (Not an #OpenLicence)

2) EXIF states "Crown copyright. Licensed under the Open Government Licence""
