* Built #EVi locally and put the #SUSE vimrc in place as the default.
* Aliased #vim and #vi to it to account for muscle memory (view is fine due to $PATH priorities).
* Next up will be to produce an @opensuse package and propose it for the Editors project in the Build Service (with Provides and Obsoletes to have it replace the vim package and replace those aliases with symlinks).

"quick-access-terminal" ist das Stichwort bzw. der Befehl. Hierfür kann man auch eine extra config anlegen.

Прикупил неттоп за 1400 рублей. Atom D425 и DDR3 на 2 ГБ. Зато мало весит и компактный. Для поездок — самое то.

Поставил на него openSUSE 15.5 с Btrfs. Всё тормозит неимоверно. Firefox 148 открывается за 20 секунд, Vivaldi 3 — за 15 секунд, древняя Opera 12.5 — за 7 секунд. Даже xterm — за 5 секунд. Ну как так?!

Разобрал и вытащил SanDisk SSD P4 32 GB. Думал, он тормозной. Он там забавный, такой маленький оказался (приложил фото). Подключил его к своему Pentium D и загрузился с него. И в принципе всё открывается сносно.

И тут я вспомнил, что при установке прописал сжатие на максимум — `compress=zstd:15`. Конечно, хилый Atom расжимает/сжимает всё при каждой дисковой опперации.

Убрал сжатие, и стало побыстрее. Xterm открывается за 1,5 секунды, Firefox — за 7 секунд. Остальное тоже в пределах терпимости.

#Nextcloud have tagged rc1 of the new version of their desktop client. I've built it.

I'm hoping my #OpenSUSE #Tumbleweed #Wayland #KDE Plasma installation is an outlier. The current version of the client just shows a black main window. This new rc1 does the same.

From LLM-assisted debugging I've figured out that it's the qml windows that just render as completely black - all other dialogs etc are fine. It's also not a general qml issue - my own test apps renders without issues.

... but if it's not just my machine it would probably be good to know. Not being able to see anything in the main window makes it difficult to sort out sync issues.
