Instead use https://open-meteo.com/en/docs
Then play with the API from there. You'll learn the chemistry and physics for your area while you play with this fun API.
It's a fun game and you learn (with hand holding) how to play with open-meteo API

Cairo dock

Log data is vital. The weather applet on my Cairo dock gives a descriptive error log when it can't reach the OpenMeteo server API. You can see the full explanation here

hi @openmeteo , I'm implementing your API for my work (power forecast for citizen energy projects in #Bretagne #France), and I have a question after reading the docs https://open-meteo.com/en/docs :

How are #DST daylight-saving time switches managed in your API response ? The doc mentions 1 field for Timezone, but results across the DST-date would be in different timezones...

#Zermatt, this is just absurd. Texans like me weren't built to handle *one degree* Farenheit. And at the summit we visited, it was -4 Farenheit. Got some excellent pictures though :D

Exactly one year ago, on 30th December 2024, I laid the foundation of FediMeteo.

I took a VM, installed FreeBSD, and set up the first jail to support Italy. The goal was to create a tool for my own use, support a few countries, and announce it.

Unexpectedly, the enthusiasm was incredible. That pushed me to keep going, support more countries and cities, and turn it into what it is today.

FediMeteo now supports 38 countries and 2,937 cities, with more than 7,700 followers in the Fediverse alone, not counting the many people who follow via RSS feeds or visit the web pages.
