@cainmark @ascentale @bikenite A6: especially the Sydney style heavy rail "metro area" trains that go from Newcastle to Wollongong to Goulburn. Cycle tour, get the train back into Newcastle (etc), change trains back into Sydney. It's a 150km "metro" train ride.

@ascentale @bikenite A6: #OnlyInAustralia I've been hit by a #kangaroo, albeit no damage except to egos.

The really big hazard here is the sun. It will burn or or bake you if you give it any chance at all.

One annoyance once while touring was waking up to a bunch of cows chewing on my gear. None of it was edible but some got mangled and more got covered in saliva. It was gross.
