OFFF stands for Online Flash Film Festival (I can see why they’ve acronym-ed it) and funny to see it come so far from the days of Flash to the amazing projection mapping on the side of the Design Museum building.

- then you can "collaborate with brands" (as in be hired to do ads)
- then you get rich
The weirdest thing about being at #OFFF in Barcelona (a design conference/festival) is how apolitical everything is.
Sponsored by Adobe (who show off their #AI stuff) everyone shows with great fanfare their projects but the context doesn't matter: Campaign for a fast fashion brand or Nestle sits comfortably next to "we did a short film on climate change" which looked neat but really had little to contribute.
The cherry on top is the daily magazine that lies around everywhere. Every fucking copy is shrink-wrapped in different types of plastic. Just so the packaging looks shiny.
(I knew that this was gonna be a different conference experience than what I am used to, design people are very much about showing what they did in a "look, we are the coolest" kind of fashion, that's just that subculture's practice)
It's very alienating to be here TBH.
