Funny that Sutton's Bay is like 30 miles away from #Charlevoix as the crow flies, but it's an hour and a half drive by car because of the bay. I literally just called the #SuttonsBay Chamber of Commerce just to verify: The triple masted schooner "Alliance" will be in #Charlevoix on Wednesday for a Camp McSauba event, then in Sutton's Bay (on the #Leelanau Peninsula) Friday for a PUBLIC event 4 to 7 pm. Built in 1995, it has now made the 3000 mile journey from #Yorktown, #Virginia to its new home in Grand Traverse. Here's an interesting experiment... You can find out what different instances are showing for the same hashtag... For #nwmi for example, I can compare my instance ( https://dmv.community/tags/nwmi ) to a big one like mastodon dot social ( https://mastodon.social/tags/nwmi ) or a small one ( http://greatlakes.community/tags/nwmi... Or more generally, any Masto server = " your . instanceURL / tags / nwmi" ... I would be interested if you see any differences. Also feel free to boost. My hypothesis is that different servers are showing different results for the same hashtag. Try it with your server to observe real differences in what is visible. Please comment with any interesting differences you find.
