i can't believe some "people" think it's okay for the posts i make to get federated to other servers. sure i can opt out by blocking you but that just isn't okay at all. unless you have written consent you should not be able to see my posts at all

#noread #nofederate #nointeract # fedi block
Akkoma

time to burn bridges since i see this going around a lot here :)

i know
@[email protected] / @snarfed from conversations we've had on discord in the past; they aren't completely evil, and they mean well. this has been a project of theirs for a while now, it's not a new miraculous thing that came out of nowhere just to facilitate techbro takeover of the fediverse

was it misguided to introduce it in the way it was? yeah probably; but keep hanlon's razor in mind. it wasn't malicious in any way to my knowledge

furthermore. bluesky is not the devil's platform. they have moderation problems, yes, but it's the same way we here on the fediverse have problems (and no, dorsey does not do anything related to the platform anymore and has in fact mostly moved to nostr)

wanting a bridge to be opt-out feels weird, to me. it's not as if normal federation is opt out? you don't put
#nofederate in your bio if you want to not federate? it just confuses me

anyways this is kinda a mess of thoughts i just wanted to say because its annoying me seeing the levels of slander thrown back and forth between platforms with good people on both of them
