This is just a handful of problems and injustices that a person may face for leaving Islam. This all especially true if they live in a muslim majority country. However, those that don’t still face the risk of becoming victims of violent crimes, reviving threats, etc. These realities are all painful and heart breaking and no one should have to go through them. Unfortunately, this is the reality for millions of people world wide.

Due to the intense islamophobia that has been happening recently, I would also like to acknowledge that not all ex-muslims have a hard time leaving Islam. This is however, a reality that some do face.

*Clarence Seward Darrow*, (1857–1938) fue un abogado estadounidense, directivo de la Unión Estadounidense por las Libertades Civiles y georgista.
Educado en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Michigan, *Darrow* pasó al derecho penal después de varios casos exitosos en derecho corporativo. Su carrera fue muy exitosa perdiendo sólo un caso de asesinato en más de cien. Opuesto a la pena de muerte, a menudo se enfrentaba a casos sin esperanza para salvar a sus clientes de ese fin.
En 1925, defendió a *John T. Scopes*, un maestro de escuela acusado de enseñar la teoría de la evolución darwiniana en lugar de la doctrina de la creación. Aunque *Scopes* fue declarado culpable, se dijo que la actuación de *Darrow* eclipsó a su oponente, *William Jennings Bryan*. El litigio, apodado como el "Juicio del mono”, fue extremadamente controvertido y se convirtió en la película «Inherit the Wind» (Heredando el viento).
