Mise à jour de ma #Nitrokey3 vers le firmware 1.8.0
Quelques sueurs froides suite à plantage. En effet il faut appliquer des règles udev pour que l'utilisateur puisse écrire vers /dev/hidraw*
Pour cela télécharger le fichier de règles : https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Nitrokey/libnitrokey/master/data/41-nitrokey.rules vers /etc/udev/rules.d/
et l'appliquer :
sudo udevadm control --reload-rules
sudo udevadm trigger
puis télécharger et lancer le programme de mise à jour

@rince Muss leider gestehen, dass meine Erfahrungen aktuell mit dem #Nitrokey3 nicht so toll sind. Hatte den erstmal nur als Vergleich mit einem Yubikey am Start und wegen OSS etc.
Erste Verwendung (ein NK3A mini): starten wir mal. Auf die angegebene Nitrokey Startseite gegangen, NK3 gesucht zum Loslegen: Ja nee die Software für Windoof ist nicht für deinen Key. Von der neuen Software (NK2 App) stand auf der verlinkten Seite nichts. Das hab ich mir dann erstmal selbst zusammengesucht.

I have a flipper which came in handy to test my #Nitrokey3 NFC. It seems that my issues with NFC detection are specific the devices I've tried, as I am able to detect and read my nitrokey3 over NFC with the flipper.
🤞 a future firmware update with fix it. Until then, I know of no good usb-A + NFC security token options that are open and respect our freedoms.
Suggestions welcome!
I finished setting up my #Nitrokey3 , but alas, NFC just doesn't work across any of the android devices I've tried (not detected at all). My older #yubikey (neo) however does not have this problem. So sadly, I have ordered some new yubikeys, as nitrokey3 NFC just doesn't work.
Fwiw: I tested NFC with phone cases off, and still nothing at all detected. Frustrating!
@wiktor I have 3 solo2 keys, all of which I do not use either. I agree re: reversible usb!
Also, it is ironic that they both use the same Trussed firmware. I now have a #nitrokey3 and it works great!
Thanks for the mention of #age ; I had come across it before but not took note! I will continue to use raw gpg as it works well for me, but good to know!
