There's SO much more to the GBA port of Super Mario Bros. 3 than just e-Reader Levels. The e-Reader can do a LOT more.

The Switch Cards allow you to modify physics and behavior in the Main Game & World-e, and Power-Up Cards let you get otherwise unobtainable items, such as the Cape Feather and Boomerang.

Are you interested in playing Super Mario Bros. 3 again, but want a little more out of it? The GBA version had a ton of extra content thanks to the e-Reader accessory. The Wii U VC / NSO release added the extra levels, but only those. If you want more, I've put together a save file for you to use with a copy of the US Wii U Virtual Console version!

You can use this save file to experience a playthrough of the main game with tons of extra stuff, including veggies from SMB2, the Cape Feather from Mario World, a unique blue Boomerang item, an extra special "Hard Mode" with tougher enemies, and more!

All the info you need is right in the video description here, so check it out if you're interested! The video itself shows the new items in action and the Hard Mode activated by the "Red Switch" card.
