I really liked this idea I had about Nie Huaisang running away after dage burns his things. Of course dage is worried sick and gots in search of him, which ends up preventing his death, because he goes to the Cloud Recesses and Lan Xichen hasn't seen Nie Huaisang but suggests they go down to Lotus Pier because Nie Huaisang abate wanted to go and invites himself to tag along in the search.

Next @wangxian #fanfic rec is "To lurk, to lie in wait" (125k) by trippednfell. It's a modern AU with magic with huli jing wwx who's been looking for others of his kind his whole life. There's a lot of hurt/comfort and touch starvation (at least for his human form), some angst because of distant lwj and his mysterious magic, lots of cuddling in fox form with jc, jl and lsz, and very warm family feels.

2. Fandoms I'm active in now:

#MDZS, novel-main, and very much not in the mainstream side of fandom. I exist in #SangCheng nation, with a bit of #NieLan for variety. Fair warning: I don't like CQL.

I would LIKE to be in the fandom for #FourteenthYearOfChenghua (SuiTang!) but haven't found much that is based on the novel (because while I liked the drama, I don't love it in a fandom way)
