I have just had one of those "Oh. Is that how it works!" moments.
I took out a box of long abandoned oil pastels intending to experiment with colour for an oil painting I want to paint. The pastels had been abandoned because I couldn't understand oil pastels. Just messy I thought.
As I played I realised that with years more experience in art I understood the basics of oil pastels that eluded me previously.
Not well executed but a start.
