There is a critical need for stories about #Africa to be told by and from the perspective of African people. To address this, National Geographic Explorers Noel Kok and Pragna Parsotam-Kok co-founded Nature, Environment, and Wildlife Filmmakers #NEWF and collaborated with the National Geographic Society to develop Africa Refocused—a space for African storytellers to own and drive the narrative about the need to protect the continent’s natural habitats and #wildlife. 1/2
