Watching the first #ChristopherReeve #Superman film. A few of my opinions of it haven’t changed since I first saw it when it came out (I was 9):

- The music is great.
- Christopher Reeve is great.
- The effects are okay.
- #LexLuthor, his crew, and his plan are all dumb, although they are funny.
- #MargotKidder is not a very good #LoisLane and is saved by the script. (No I don’t know who would have been a better choice, inasmuch as #KatharineHepburn was a little too old for the role.)

I remember being pretty disappointed that #JimmyOlsen wasn’t a redhead, but I don’t care about that now.

I have a few new opinions, though:

- The film is very white.
- #GeneHackman and #NedBeatty are criminally underused (which I didn’t know on release because I had no idea what great actors they are).
- #MarlonBrando seems to be sleepwalking through his part.
- The Superman theme is my favorite #JohnWilliams composition.
