It's rough catching enough light for a 📷 when you're walking thru the trees. But there not much light better than dappled light, imo. It draws your attention to the things you likely wouldn't have noticed had that single light ray been blocked by the canopy.
In the morning, I was awakened
- with the announcement that "there is a spider in the sink, probably a brown house spider (Tegenaria)"
- and with the request to "do something about it."
So I took the spider to the window, fetched camera and tripod, photographed it, identified it (no Tegenaria, probably Haplodrassus, but I'm not sure which one), left it in the iNaturalist database, say thank, and closed the window.
Nature doesn't care what we want the water for. Must be a time of abundance and plenty for the algae though.
