Just kind of reminds me, yet again, of M.T. Anderson's book "Feed" and how the hyper-consumerist oriented algorithms of "The Feed" don't know how to market to you if you don't fit their preestablised patterns well. On the surface it sounds great to live outside mechanized analysis. Until you desperately need some service or business interaction and the system to provide it can’t recognize you.

Mindblowing is not an exaggeration!

Writing this in English, out of the ordinary, because I read this masterpiece of a novel in English and I want to tell everybody!

M. T. Anderson's Nicked catapulted itself onto my top 10 of all time list, and I ordered it immediately after finishing the library book even though my bookshelf is full.

I've been an author for 17 years and read thousands of good books, but every now and then a novel comes along that truly inspires me and makes me incredibly excited about writing all over again. I'm thrilled that the mystery of this profession hasn't vanished for me even after all these years: I read Nicked not as a book written by a human being but as a legend from lost times, as a twisted fairy tale straight from the gods. How it could be so noble and ridiculous at the same time I don't know. The incomprehensible in it fascinates me beyond measure! I never wanted it to end. Sort of want to read it again right now.

What could I tell you about this novel? An absurd fantasy about a dreaming monk and a saint hunter trying to rob the sacred bones of Saint Nicholas in 1087. Sounds weird? Trust me, it is!
