I had forgotten John Motson was broadcasting for Grandstand at Hillsborough, correctly observed what was happening (i.e. not crowd disturbance) at the time. And recordings of his off-air comments were key evidence for the Warrington Hillsborough Inquests.

May his memory be a blessing.
