#hobbyStreak 33. Traced a bunch more trees for the thicket. Turns out Procreate is the right tool for this job. #modelRailway #modelRailroad
#hobbyStreak 32. Starting to trace trees for the Thicket. Wondering if this is such a great idea? #modelRailway #modelRailroad
#hobbyStreak 31. Removed the gear from the no-longer-insulated axle and in doing so lost a .25mm shim… one step forward, two steps back? #modelRailway #modelRailroad
Something really satisfying having this thing making big loud jet noises on my desk. Just glad I’m not paying for god knows how many gallons of kerosene the real thing drink a minute #ModelRailway
And why is it weird, you might ask? It looks like a steam locomotive pretending to be a diesel, doesn’t it? Well it’s neither. It’s a gas turbine. There’s essentially a jet engine in there. #ModelRailway
Cheered myself up by snapping up an interesting model locomotive. A real niche one this, for proper nerds. #ModelRailway
#hobbyStreak 30. Test-printed an N-scale cattle chute for my friend, Steve. #modelRailway #modelRailroad

Boards back in, and a test fit of the platform and semaphores. Looking good.

I’ve actually bought some point rodding kits for this part of the layout. Not all of it, just the six points outside the small shunting yard. But that’s enough!!!

#hobbyStreak 29. Pressed the main gear onto the axle, and in so doing broke the insulation in the axle! Guess it’s back to the lathe! #modelRailway #modelRailroad
Fixed the issue with this locomotive! #ModelRailway
