Once I learnt new languages, I realised why people speak “broken” or “wrong” English.
It’s not wrong and makes perfect sense in the way they pronounce their words or construct their sentences or work with their language.
I do the same with Hindi and Marathi and French as I learn and use them.
Teaches me there is nothing superior or inferior about any language. Just what the tribe accepts and loves and creates and mutates and has fun with.
Like Taleb says,
Words and languages were created by farmers, hunters, traders, prostitutes, carpenters, dancers, squid ink experts, cardiologists, post office clerks, & home builders.
Not by linguists, scribes, bureaucrats, librarians, grammarians, & college professors.
