But, now questions! In the app: are there no #DM feature available? And can the #Global feed not be accessed? Is there an official help channel and/or a set of startup instructions?
And why does nothing seem to happen when I try to make posts in the app (works only in browser)
I have more, but let's start with the basic most valuable to me :)

Just a reminder as the Birdsite checkmark situation gets more attention today:

*Mastodon* does _not_ do the following yet:
1. Allow you to block DMs.
2. Allow you to restrict who can reply to your posts.
3. Allow you to set up distinct visibility groups (i.e. “Circles”) to target your posts to different audiences.

There are many still on the birdsite for who the above features are critical (especially the blocking of DMs - note: Akkoma can do this however) for them to maintaining healthy boundaries while engaging with their community all through a very toxic environment run by a billionaire.
