WildRikkuFigured out I made a mistake last time I worked on Faith's wig. For some reason, probably because I tied away too much hair, I did not finish one of the sides. To avoid making another mistake, I'll have dinner now... then figure out if there's a chance to get it fixed today.

Figured I won't get the runner bag done until Dokomi. Well, it was always a little optimistic, and the actual deadline is a photoshooting two weeks later. Sewing just always takes forever. I'll instead convert an old yellow t-shirt into a bag so I can at least carry my camera and water etc around. Fingers crossed I get the wig done tomorrow as planned.
Will I meet any of you at Dokomi on Friday or in the park on Saturday?
Four months after Crafting Com (eeeek only 8 months until next time!), I picked up the wig for Faith Connors again. With help from @brezeldrache to put on the wig and check against artwork multiple times, I now got the sides done and I think they turned out pretty good. I also like the undercut on the back of the head I did at Crafting Com. Looks like I'll finish the wig until Dokomi! That's the first wig I'll have done myself! Yay!

BillFor #VGMWednesday I'm thinking about the cool, smooth, electronic tone of the menu music from Mirror's Edge.
I absolutely loved this game, the look, the feel, the sounds. I remember playing it before I had a graphics card, and then when I upgraded and saw the PhysX flags and tarps everywhere I thought, "That's it, video games will never look better than this."

Faith's runner bag is finally coming along! I really want to get it done until Dokomi. Wig work is planned for this week, too. If I manage to finish both, I'll have enough parts to cosplay Faith at Dokomi (wig, top, pants, shoes, tattoo, bag). Swing bag, vest and MagRope will be added later. At least that's the plan.

The gamepad is charging for Lightning Returns later, the 3D printer is printing a part for the portal gun and I am making a paper mock-up for Faith's runner bag because I have exactly the amount of material I need which is nice because no leftovers of weird plastic material but also stressful because all mistakes will be visible.

Baa 🐑Mirror's Edge has very unique specific vibe that I think 2 fails to recreate.
Not only is the city you're running through beautiful and clean, but it's almost completely empty, vast office complexes and infrastructure unused by anyone.
It's really cool, like the hallways of Portal but it's an entire city.
I'm pretty sure it's unintentional too, just a limitation of cpu power at the time to populate the world with random NPCs, the only other people you meet are like 4 other runners, and sparse police who are only there to get you specifically.
There are distant NPCs you can see on the street but they're so far away it feels like a different world.

BloodaxeI finished Mirror's Edge today, a game that I really longed to play when I was younger. But I've gotta say, kinda disappointing. The story started out kinda nice, but mid-to-late game both the story and game felt really rushed. Also the guidance system became noticeably worse at "guiding" me during the later half.
All-in-all I'm glad I got to play it, but I think once was enough 😜
