I’m a big fan of #MiraGrant. I’d heard…not good…things about this one, but I’ve yet to read it for myself. I’ve read and really love her #Newsflesh and #Parasitology trilogies. If you haven’t read those, I highly recommend them!

Well, shit! I just realized my copy of #Parasite is a #FirstEdition!

Now, I’m even more excited for it, but also more bummed that it’s in such rough shape.

With the completion of #ShadesOfRustAndRuin and the arrival of #Parasite arriving on the same day, I no longer have to decide on what to read in between the two books!

I’m so excited to finally start reading the #Parasitology trilogy from #MiraGrant.

If only the eBay description had been true about the book being in “very good” condition. I don’t know what the hell happened to it, but the front (hard)cover came in bent as hell and there were stickers and creases on the dust jacket.

Instead of continuing the #ACOTAR series for now, I’ve decided to take on #ShadesOfRustAndRuin, by #AGHoward until my #Parasitology trilogy, by #MiraGrant arrives and I’ll finally be #reading that, after a few years now.

This book has been quite a slog to get through so far. I’m about a third of the way done and I’m so bored with it. I’d really hoped this would be an interesting read, since it’s based around #Steampunk, #Labyrinth and #GoblinMarket, but it’s so bland, bloated and uninteresting.

Once again @seananmcguire is making uncomfortable predictions about 2031 in her new book Overgrowth. Given how eerily accurate The Kingdom of Needle and Bone was regarding the pandemic, I'm not looking forward to this particular dodgeball hitting home in six years.
