"trapped in yourself, break out instead / beat the machine that works in your head"

In a world that constantly tells us who we should be, Guano Apes' Open Your Eyes calls us to question our own reality. It is about not blindly following ideologies or external expectations but recognizing the machine in your mind and taking control for yourself.

The song urges us to open our eyes, free our minds, and take responsibility for our own thinking. It is a call to leave the comfort zone, discard self-deception, and truly live awake critical and fearless.

I tried to capture the core message of the song in an image I created with SDXL, reflecting the cold machinery of the mind.

Merav from https://www.makelab.org.il/ designed a laser-cut wooden casing for my #MindMachine (this version has a rechargeable LiPo battery).
Thanks also to Amir and Asaf for their help.
Makelab is an amazing place with talented and helpful people and lots of cool equipment. #recommended

I've also built a #MindMachine for myself (a more minimal/Spartan design)
One of the friends at the party asked for a machine, so I came out with this design (soldering instead of protoboard, micro-USB as the connector for the goggles).
During the month this took, @neo has discovered that what we used to call "brain machine" in the 90s is now called "mind machine" (and if you search for the former, you get confusing results related to brain-machine interface), so I'll start using #MindMachine as a hashtag for this #diy #arduino project.
