I was quite pleased with my worldtime menu for sxmo_gshock so I extracted it as a standalone script for #sxmo

https://git.sr.ht/~fdlamotte/sxmo_wt

It just launches a clock for the selected timezone, but its quite handy to be able to pick it from the map thanks to #mepo

Here are the main menus for the sxmo_gshock.py script I'm using on my phone running #sxmo

This script evolved a lot since the last time I wrote about it, I can now get reminders or setup alarms from my calendar using khal and change timezone using #mepo

I'd like to keep it simple, so it should not evolve much from now

Just received a T1000-e #meshtastic tracker node

Of course, i plan to use it as a meshtastic gw for my phone, and some quick tests show it performs quite well for a small device.

But as GPS seems not to work yet on #pixel3a it will be a good location provider ... I can see my position in gtk-meshtastic-client and I'm baking a small script to feed #mepo ;)

I'd also like to feed geoclue, but still need to figure out a simple way to do that, I could forge NMEA, but I saw there was an android gw

For past two weeks, I've been working on a script to display weather forecast from openweather in the terminal and integrated it into #sxmo and #mepo

I'm happy with the result and do not plan to add more features. Don't hesitate to give it a try and report issues though ...

Now, instead of making a weather query from mepo, I can also call mepo from my forecast menu to choose a location ;)

#sxmo and #mepo are so fun and smooth

I really like #mepo ...

Recently I wrote a python script to query openweathermap.org and get forecasts for a given place (to replace wttr.in, which has a limited number of queries).

Thought it would be fun to write a wrapper to get the forecast from a location in mepo.

In the end it was not fun to write because too easy ... just a two line script to put in your path ...

But it surely is fun to use ;) and usefull too ...

Anybody know how to get GPS working on the #Pinephone ? Running #SXMO from #PostmarketOS using #mepo , but honestly in over my head and don't know where to start with trying to get accurate location data...
Mepo: The fast, simple, hackable Linux OSM map app

i made a script to integrate my #geohashing expeditions with the #mepo #OSM viewer. you can view it at both the geohashing wiki or the mepo mailing list linked below. the script calculates the geohash and opens mepo with a pin at that day's hashpoint. if you are new to geohashing or want to give it a shot check out https://geohashing.site for more information.

@JustineSmithies Have you given #mepo a try already? I don't drive myself so I rarely need a map, but it's a great tool by Miles: http://mepo.milesalan.com/
