Finished reading The Midnight Tides for the first time. It was... different.

First, it introduced a new continent with (almost) entirely new cast. The connection between MT and previous books is even weaker than between GotM and DH.

Second, the book is full of humour. In one of the arcs, nearly every scene contains humorous banter. 1/
