🇵🇷Yesterday I began the final book in the #Malazan series. It's been an INCREDIBLY wild ride. I'm interested to see how it wraps up because there is 1 character that I still hope to "see" again.

Timmy MacFinished reading: Blood and Bone by Ian C. Esslemont 📚
I am honestly not sure how I felt about this book at all. Parts of it, I absolutely loved. Some really great characterization, fun banter, cool set pieces. The lore was fascinating, and some passages were genuinely chilling. It was set in a part of the #malazan world we hadn’t seen before, and I really appreciated a lot of the detail.

DocTalosIn the middle of reading Memories of Ice. Book 3 of #malazan . I find it's great bed time reading. Massive, I mean truly massive scope of world building, with just enough interesting plot/character interaction to keep me reading in the long term, but it's not so action packed that I can't put it down to go to sleep at night. #sff
I read 27 books this year, but 7 of them were in the #Malazan Book of the Fallen series, so I feel like that should get me double credit.
I track my reading in #capacities but have totally stopped using Goodreads or similar services. Even the federated alternatives seem like a waste of time to me. I never end up talking about books with anyone.
