Which means Mark Foggo has a writing credit on Ricky Martin's 1992 debut solo album, as he recorded a Spanish language version of the song. Which came into existance in 1985 as it was recorded by Colombian singer Fausto and gained popularity in South America from there.

Though probably the most notable of the many language versions of this Dutch song, a special shout out to the Tamil version Oh Sona. Which doesn't credit Mark as it's not an officially licensenced version.

TIL: Mark Foggo, whose ska I've enjoyed for more than 3 decades, has a writing credit for Susanna by the Art Company. This is an English language version of Suzanne by Dutch band VOF de Kunst*. Given the fact he does not have a credit on the original version has me believe he's responsible for the translation. Which makes sense as he's a Brit who spent a long time in the Netherlands.

*They are the same band by the way. It wasn't just the lyrics that got a English makeover.
