Heute ist nicht nur #Allerheiligen sondern auch #TagdesEinhorns !🦄 Wusstet ihr, dass die Darstellung der Einhornjagd, ein Sinnbild der Empfängnis #Christi war? Besonders beliebt war daher im 15./16. Jh. die Darstellung #Marias mit #Einhorn im Schoß. Die hier gezeigte Maria ist Teil einer Figurengruppe der mystischen Einhornjagd. Leider fehlt bei unserem Exemplar das 🦄.

Diese Jungfrau Maria, die Teil einer Figurengruppe der mystischen Einhornjagd ist, trägt die allerneueste Mode ihrer Zeit: einen gerüschten Kragen, Puffärmel, dazu Perlenschmuck und eine aufwendige Frisur. Gerade bei Darstellungen der Einhornjagd, einem Sinnbild der Empfängnis Christi, bei denen der Engel Gabriel das Einhorn in den Schoß Mariens treibt, erscheint die Gottesmutter meist besonders zeittypisch angezogen. Die Figur ist in der Schausammlung "LegendäreMeisterWerke" im Alten Schloss ausgestellt.
