I just resolved a note on OpenStreetMap! I just learned they exist today and there are several notes in my city.
Another even simpler #MapEditing UX is the Android-only @streetcomplete tool, which gamifies the process of augmenting missing metadata nearby.

Again, the UX punts on changing connectivity or exposing the underlying OSM data model. Instead, they focus relentlessly on staying in the moment + asking:
"Hey, while you're right here, can you answer a single well-defined question?" 1/2

For folks interested in #MapEditing UX, here's a nifty tool which leverages
- existing segments,
- relevant waypoints, +
- a routing engine
to simplify the process of creating routes as overlays on an existing network.
