Massive galaxies like the Milky Way have smaller satellite galaxies that are tidally disrupted and absorbed. Astronomers think this is how galaxies assemble hierarchically. New research examines galaxies much less massive than the Milky Way to see if they also have their own, much less massive satellites.
The Magellanic woodpecker is a large woodpecker found in southern Chile and southwestern Argentina. This species is mainly pure black, with a white wing patch and a grey, chisel-like beak. Males have a crimson head and crest.

I think, a week or so thousands of #Magellanic penguins froze to death on their migration in the South Atlantic. They dis not have enough fat, as they could not find enough fish.
