Looking at the patterns, I think a 13x13 cm cut square can work, although this feels a bit like fussy cutting.
However 13x13 cm (approx 12x12 cm when sewn) will give the patterns a chance to shine, especially when I combine them in the relatively simple St Louis 16 block.

Heerlijk middagje: eerst wat meters effen stof gekocht, daarna aan de slag met restjes stof en deze nieuwe kleuren om tissue-zakjes te maken.

Feeling a bit restless, I decided to do some sewing. I had a 50 cm piece of this dotted Kaffe Fassett fabric and when I checked my solid color stash (still a work in progress!), I found that I had a nicely matching color in almost the same size.
About an hour later, I now have a 3 meter long string with 12 flags ready to be used whenever I feel festive!
