A little window into German poverty.

Despite the reduction ot payments from my social security income sources, I still have enough money for a small grocery shopping tour this month OR pay my medicine self cost part without having to lend money.

I haven't touched my savings. (low number but hey).

My storage has enough food for at least three weeks even if it gets very monoton and at one point, I will have to rely on stuff like noodles for breakfast.

My rent and my bills are paid... Still the weather is a problem because I don't want to turn up the heater to the next level. It's gas and that's expensive and also quite bad for the environment. And 19-20° C is manageable inside with two layers of overlapping clothes.

Can't afford stuff that I would like to have or replace because it's broken or near to breaking, but hey overall I bought one book new and a movie on DVD I wanted for years, second hand...

Definitely not the worst January I had.

Very hard to stop this kind of development. The short term answer is to import huge amount of cheap labor from abroad.
Unfortunately the Thai middle class has already become lazy and spoiled. They would NEVER take these jobs. So, one will be stuck with a huge foreign work class.
One impact might be the famous streetfood will slowly disappear, as most is cooked for local workforce..
