Gales Restaurants Limited has applied to Camden Council to vary its premises licence at the Elysee Restaurant, 13 Percy Street, Fitzrovia.

The current licence (PREM-LIC\1603) allows for a number of licensable activities, including the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises from 10am to 1:30am the following morning from Monday to Thursday, from 10am to 2am the following morning on Friday and Saturday, and from 12noon until midnight on Sunday.

A number of conditions are attached to this licence following a review of the licence and a subsequent appeal to the magistrates court.

In September 2022 the Metropolitan Police made an application to review the premises licence for Elysee Restaurant. Following the review the Council’s Licensing Panel decided to reduce the licensable hours and add additional licence conditions and community safety measures.

While these hours and conditions were appealed by the owners of the premises, successful mediation by the Council resulted in the acceptance of the licensing conditions by the restaurant’s representatives. Under this agreement later licensing hours were allowed, and as a result the appeal was settled out-of-court in April 2023.

Permission is now sought to extend the hours the sale of alcohol and late night refreshments until 2am the following morning on Monday and Tuesday, and until 3am the following morning from Wednesday to Saturday.
