🍃#Minnesota #FossilFriday 🐂🦥🐴🐘🐪🐟 Cretaceous leaf impressions are rare finds on the Mesabi Range. This beautiful specimen was found at Hill Annex Mine State Park. The Hill Annex Palaeontology Project has collected thousands of fossils from the millions of tons of Coleraine Formation Cretaceous overburden in the park.

🍂 🍃 Happy #Minnasota #fossilfriday. One of the strangest #leaffossil specimens I have seen yet. This #cretaceous leaf fossil was found by a friend of mine inside a large misshapen iron-rich nodule. Found on a sandstone outcropping in Southern Minnesota. 🍁
