DDA Immersive Music residency 2025

A new and energetic team DEKMA of five young composers and first-year composition students at Jāzepa Vītola Latvijas Mūzikas akadēmija - Daniela Danenbergsone (LV), Edvards Kaļva (LV), Katrīna Anna Verhoustinska (LV), Mariss Daniels Ķirsis (LV) and Alma Kalniņa (LV) - have started the work in our residency. Their collective brings together diverse creative backgrounds—including conducting, writing, piano, choir singing, and electronic music.

DEKMA’s final work presentation is coming up on 30th August at Laidi manor palace. Warm warm welcome 👾

We have kickstarted the DDA #immersive music residency 2025 program. The first team - Toms Ceļmillers (LV), Rostislavs Rekuta (LV), Maksims Šenteļevs (LV), John Grzinich (EE) and Ieva Matveja (LV) have started working in the ambisonic studio/dome and exploring the surroundings of #LaidiPalace. Here are the first photo impressions taken by the team members with an instant thermal print camera.
p.s. our first team is supported by RTU Liepājas akadēmijas Mākslas pētījumu laboratorija. The team would like to thank for the support provided that allows them to create new ambisonic recordings during residency.
