This cup of #Hermes and a dog was made as a pair, the other depiting Apollon. The delicately painted seated #Hermes adorns the center of the cup, feeding or playfully teasing the hound reclining at his side.

Lo que se reproduce en color es el motivo del fondo de un #kylix ateniense.
Era un caliz que se agarraba con las dos manos del que se bebía vino en general recostado y cuando se terminaba se veía esa imagen.
La imagen es la de un #Sátiro, un elemento mitológico y en el dibujo se aprecia un falo descomunal, erecto con el #glande expuesto.
Mientras en "David" de Miguel Angel su razón es artística y pública,el kylix se usaba en #simposios o reuniones para beber y su razón es lúdica y "de colegueo"
