@knitting #knitting #AdultLearners

Instead of accepting the usual offer of a #handmade accessory for Christmas, my #knitworthy adult friend has asked me to teach her to knit.

She has vague childhood memories of knit and purl: a beginner.

Is a simple hat, worked in the round, too ambitious for a first project? My reasoning is a one-skein project, wearable, several learning points.

#Opinions and #suggestions welcome :)

ETA: She is a professional artist/illustrator, so has great dexterity.

Aww, my maternity leave colleague has sent me a photo of tiny baby in an item I made for baby's older sibling. So cute, and also so nice to see the garment still in good condition and regular use:) this is one reason my colleague is utterly #Knitworthy
Dealing with Boomer FILs is like dealing with toddlers. #knitters know some people are #knitworthy and some aren't. My dad might appreciate the handspun hat I made and will use it. My FIL lives in a climate which doesn't require knit hats but wanted one because I made one for my dad. However, he is not knitworthy for handspun and wants a football coloured beanie in colours that will only be found in acrylic. So I'm nice and starting a hat he won't wear and doesn't really want or need.
