Lebt eigentlich keybase.io noch? Die sind vor einiger Zeit mal an Zoom verkauft worden und seitdem nix mehr.
Mittlerweile kann ich die Mac-App über Homebrew nicht mehr installieren.

Also, ist es tot? Sollte ich meinen Account löschen?

The current #KeybaseIO situation is giving me a severe case of the I-told-you-sos...

There were actual reasons I decided they were a waste of time and never engaged.

What reasons?

Warning sign #1: Yet another VC funded start-up building centralized infrastructure in desperate search of a market to dominate?

Warning sign #2: They offered to host users' PGP keys in the cloud! That's snake-oil. Pure, unadulterated, snake-oil.

Expecting VC-funded snake-oil salesmen to miraculously produce anything worthwhile just seemed silly to me. Still does!

Now they've jumped on the crypto-scammer bandwagon and thrown their own users under the bus in the process?

I for one am not surprised...

They want your data and your identity and they are putting on a friendly facade to get it.
