#IWOMP 2023 is full of interesting discussions! Here we have Simon McIntosh-Smith discussing with keynote speaker David May, a pionier in microcomputer architecture. ๐
Exciting stuff at #IWOMP 2023 today! Bronis de Supinski presented the first US #exascale system, that is being deployed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
The talk provided an overview of the preparations for LCโs first exascale system, as well as details of its system architecture. Throughout, the talk will explore considerations for energy efficiency in large-scale systems.
#IWOMP 2023 got off to a great start in Bristol yesterday, with an opening keynote from Prof David May, on the rich history of computing in the city, stretching back to Inmos, the transputer, and occam.
