Next time someone suggests using a slop machine because "it's so convenient", ask them why they believe that their laziness justifies using technology that has a proven track record of harming the planet, our society, and other people.

Let them make their case and explain loud and clear why other people should pay the price for whatever they do instead of them!

We have to stop this abominable cult!

Big Tech's "Trusted Tech Alliance" is about as trustworthy as a "We Won't Eat You Club" founded by alligators.

"[...] the business model behind AI relies on brute force: capture massive reserves of data by any means possible, throw tons of resource-intensive processing power at that data, and gin up public support with wondrous tales (your AI) and scary stories (their AI). This is a far cry from the idea that innovation works in mysterious ways."

Always remember: every single person who learns from you why LLMs are a techno-capitalist abomination and should not be used is a win!

I don't know what worries me more: that more and more politicians are falling for hollow LLM marketing promises or that they apparently want to have the world we would live in if those promises were true.

I've heard an incredibly stupid statement today: "If we give AI (sic!) to children, they will learn to use it like crayons and create beautiful things with it!"

Let me borrow the crayon metaphor. If we gave LLMs to children, what we would be doing is like ramming a crayon up their noses right into their brains.

The @EUCommission wants to offer our digital privacy to slop-machine-makers on a silver platter!

Why are they forcing us to enable those who are harming so many of us? Do we really need more irresponsible and dangerous tech in our lives? And for what? So that the European Union can have their share of economic turmoil once this awful bubble bursts?

This is wrong, plain and simple!

Since the techno-capitalists are so eager to know everything about us, let's make sure they learn what we're capable of.

Let's be the biggest nuisances we can possibly be! Let's exercise our privacy rights persistently and frequently! Let's educate others why and how to avoid them! Let's call them out for what they are at every occasion!

Even the little things we can do count at scale!

If you're running a small but profitable business, you really shouldn't let the geniuses who are losing billions per year tell you how to do it better.

Remember, even at net zero you're still doing far better than OpenAI!

Ephemerality, in digital world, is already fading away. Now it is going to be past soon. Thanks to Microsoft.

From
this post of Kevin Beaumont, we get to learn further that privacy gets completely diluted, for all practical purpose, with recall feature of Microsoft.

You deal with a sensitive matter on my Windows PC. E.g. an email you delete. Does Copilot Recall still store the deleted email?Answer: yes. There's no feature to delete screenshots of things you delete while using your PC. You would have to remember to go and purge screenshots that Recall makes every few seconds. If you or a friend use disappearing messages in WhatsApp, Signal etc, it is recorded regardless. If deleting a message, after sending, is rendered useless by Copilot+ Recall, it is better to avoid it for private communication and, instead, use email. I know that once an email is sent, I cannot edit it or delete it on receiver's computer. I am better prepared psychologically. Let the recipient worry (most users may not care) how to address deleted emails on a computer with Copilot+ Recall or equivalent.
