Hey all! Can anyone recommend a good open-source, privacy respecting internet speed tester.
I was using Librespeed.org but over the last few months I've noticed they bait and switched it with AI code, sponsorships and have removed their privacy disclosure page.
I'm struggling to find something trustworthy, so any suggestions would be nice, thank you!

I love visiting my former home town, but I also love to leave it.
Reason: Internet speed
#InternetSpeedTest says:
Down: 7.54, Up: 0.67 Mbps.
20 years ago 0.06 Mbps was still enough to "work" online.
But today, with website background pics of N-MByte size and MS teams eating up all resources, it feels like riding a snail through the wild west.
Looks like 50/10 Mbps have become my minimum requirement.
Sometimes this site runs rather slow. You all know that's because there's a relatively minimal infrastructure to support it (there's enough but not a ton) and a relatively minimum number of people who support that infrastructure (again, there's enough but not a ton).
BUT... sometimes the issue is with your connection & you can test your internet download and upload speed by doing this:
1. Go to Google.com
2. Search for "internet speed test"
3. Tap or click Run Speed Test

At a coffee shop in the mall...
Almost impressive...
If not for the connection going out every now and then. 🙄
Same thing when I'm home. 🤷♀️
